Day of the Jaguar in South Florida

This video of the Jaguar launch was completed on a Macintosh running Jaguar. Size: 9 MB

When Apple turned its Jaguar loose on South Florida, you know Gold Coast Mac was in the hunt!

We took part in the events at two South Florida retailers, and helped make the most succesful OS launch in Apple's history extra-special for everyone involved.

Enjoy the video!

This 5 minute video explains GCMac's involvement in events at Apple's store at The Falls, and at Fort Lauderdale's MacCenter.

If you are a member of Macintosh User Group, this is an example of how you can use video to keep your members up to date and promote your group's activities. More on that is available in materials from the presentation "Mugs in Motion" given by the creator of this video at the fifth User Group University. You can find these materials, and other great user group tools from the University, at the MUG Center.

If you are a vendor, developer, or reseller, this video is an example of the way Gold Coast Mac shares what you do with our members. We're an active, involved group which is committed to keeping our members up-to-date, and a great reason to consider us for product to review and/or presenters for our meetings.

If you're a prospective member considering joining Gold Coast Mac, what's keeping you? We do stuff like this for fun! We also learn a lot, which we share with you, as a member! Why not be a part of it? You can even join on-line, right now, with a credit card!

Finally, if you're just curious, Welcome!

About the Video...

This video was made completely on a Mac. It was shot with a 3 year old Panasonic DV910 camera, and edited on a G4 733 using Final Cut Pro. The music is from Apple's Freeplay music library, organized with iTunes, and the still pictures were sorted and stored in iPhoto. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 was used to create the titles and some special graphic effects.

The webpage was created using Adobe Golive 6, and the video compressed for the web with Discrete's Media Cleaner EZ, the only Classic program used.

The producer of this video is Dave Game, an Emmy-Award-Winning investigative producer and former reporter with CBS in Miami. He served as videographer, writer, talent, and Final Cut Pro editor for this project.
