| Sometimes you just have to be there!
That's the philosophy of Gold Coast Mac when it comes to working with retailers. Our group works hard to maintain a two way relationship with resellers in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, and one way we do that is to take Demo Days to participating stores. Retailers allow us to come in, set up shop, and do everything from answer questions to demonstrate hardware.
We've done these demos for CompUSA's North Miami store, and have arranged to do them for CompUSA Dadeland over the next few months. Recently, we brought the concept to Computer Village, the oldest Apple retailer in continuous operation in South Florida.
This video shows what we do, and why we do it. It's a 2 MB QuickTime file, which should take you about 7 minutes to download at 56K. The quality has been reduced to allow for quick viewing.

The movie was produced using a Panasonic DV910 digital camera, imported to a Beige G3 minitower using an Orange Micro combination Firewire/USB card. It was edited completely in iMovie, with additional graphics produced in Adobe Photoshop 5.5. It was converted to QuickTime using iMovie's export features, and then compressed using Apple's MoviePlayer's export options.
